NAOS70(graphite/R)とNAOS55(Jasper/S)を探し、
たどり着いたのが「未開拓地ギア」と悪名高き、backcountrygear。
サポート担当ガブリエルの誘惑「セールプライスで取り寄せてやるよ」
との甘い言葉にそそのかされ、注文してから一ヶ月あまり。
まだ、商品は届きません。

The Bibler Winter Bivy is very popular with my skier/mountaineer co-workers for the three reasons you say: it’s light, compact, and inexpensive. Bibler is a very well established brand in the US, and they are now owned and controlled by Black Diamond. This particular bivy is very minimalist, so it’s really designed as an emergency shelter, or to be used with a tarp/floorless tent. It’s not the greatest for exposed overnight stays, but hopefully you won’t have to do that on the mountain! Mainly, it’s great to have the security of knowing you’ll have a dry sleeping bag. まぁ、肝心なガブリエルの秘密には迫れなかったけれども、
文脈からマニュアル通りの返答にはないニュアンスが漂ってくる。
「きっとガブちゃんもオレゴンのバックカントリーを歩き回ったりしてるんだろな」
そう思うと、親近感がさらに増してきて、気持ちの上ではもう親友。
「もう大丈夫だな、年明けには届くだろ」と、根拠のない安心感を持ってしまった。
慌しい年末年始を挟み、返事が書けず、気付けば年が明けて2週間。
期待を裏切り、何の音沙汰もなかったのである。
さすがにこれは心配になって、少し皮肉を込めた返事をしたためてみた。

I'm not sure why we haven't recieved that pack from Arc'Teryx yet. I've had our purchaser look into it, and Arc'Teryx definitnely recieved our order for it. When i check their availability, they still have it in stock, so it should have been here by now. I'll get a tracking number from them and then I'll get back to you with a more accurate time frame.

With regards to the Bivy, it's ultralight enough to be used year round. It's called the Winter Bivy just because it packs down so small for ski/mountaineering. It's similar in design to most other ultralight bivys, but this particular model uses "Epic" fabric to keep it so small and ultralite. MSR's new sleeping pad (Neo Air) won't be available until sometime in April. If you place an order for it now, you effectively secure your place in line for it, but it won't ship for another two months or so. Please let me know if you have any other qeustions. I'll get back to you about the Naos when I know more. THanks!

With regards to your air mattress question: we'll be stocking both the Neo Air and the ProLite Plus, but if you're looking for a recommendation on which one to get, I depends entirely on your use. The ProLite Plus is definitely more insulative, but it's not as thick, and incorporates open cell foam inside. For late spring, summer, and early fall, the Neo Air saves a few ounces, packs a little smaller, and is thicker (2.5"). By placing an order for either mattress now, you effectively secure your place in line when they're released for sale. If you have specific questions about the pads, I'd be happy help.
